3 Use Cases + 3 ChatGPT Prompts to Investigate Organic Performance for Your Brand

Hey friend,

How’s it going? 🌻

It's Q3 already, and the perfect time to deep dive into the rights and wrongs of the first two quarters and prep for the future. Recently, I did an organic performance analysis for my current company, and guess what?

ChatGPT helped! Like a LOT!

Here are three use cases, prompts, and the possible results you can expect from this experiment:

But before that....

The Content Marketer’s Reality Check Survey 2025 will be published in Substack.

Use Case #1: Identify seasonality and regional impact on organic lead generation

What it solves: You notice a dip in leads, but traffic looks stable. The question — is it seasonal, regional, or content-related?

Prompt to try:

“Here’s my lead data by month and by region (For example: US, EU, UAE, etc.). Analyze whether the drop in leads is seasonal or linked to any region. Suggest how to verify it using search trends and industry benchmarks.”

📂 What data to share:

  • Month-wise website traffic, leads, and conversion rate (12-month view)
  • Regional breakdown
  • (Optional) Google Trends data for 2–3 primary keywords
  • Detailed audience information—designations, pain points, expected outcomes, etc.

📊 What outputs to expect:

  • Identification of months or quarters with recurring dips
  • Insights like “US leads drop every August due to fiscal freeze
  • Recommendations to stagger campaigns or refresh content calendars by region
  • Suggested trend validation via Google Trends / GSC impressions

Use Case #2: Detect content gaps behind lead drop

What it solves: You’re publishing regularly, impressions are up, but conversions are down.

Prompt to try:

“I’ll share a list of my top 10 performing blogs (with traffic and keywords). Analyze which ones are attracting irrelevant queries vs. those that align with buyer intent. Suggest three content refresh ideas or new BOFU topics to improve conversions.”

📂 What data to share:

  • Blog URL + traffic + top 5 keywords per post
  • Keyword search volume, ranking position, and CTR
  • (Optional) Your ICP persona (e.g., “PMs in IT industry”)

📊 What outputs to expect:

  • A cluster of high vs. low-intent keywords per blog
  • Recommendation of which blogs to refresh (e.g., “add CTA”, “reframe for enterprise audience”)
  • List of BOFU blog ideas to close conversion gaps
  • A quick summary of traffic-driving but irrelevant content

Use Case #3: Investigate keyword and AI visibility shifts

What it solves: You’ve noticed a traffic plateau even though rankings look fine. The hidden culprit may be AI overviews or ChatGPT answer citations stealing clicks.

Prompt to try:

“Here’s my list of blog URLs and their traffic. Check which ones are likely impacted by AI Overviews or ChatGPT answer boxes. Suggest how to make them more ‘AI-citation friendly’ with schema, FAQ sections, or better structure.”

📂 What data to share:

  • Blog URL + traffic trend (6-month)
  • Average ranking position per blog
  • Top queries from Google Search Console
  • (Optional) AI Overview screenshot or featured snippet examples

📊 What outputs to expect:

  • A list of pages most likely impacted by AI answers
  • Guidance on how to structure content for AI citations (Q&A blocks, schema, definition box)
  • Recommendations for reclaiming clicks (add FAQs, “What is…” sections, updated year tags)
  • Early indicators of topics at risk due to generative SERP answers

Hey friend, How’s it going? 🌻 A content strategy without a POV is just a publishing schedule. You can have the right keywords, the right formats, the right cadence. And still produce content that reads like it could have come from any company in your category. POV is what makes a reader think "this brand gets it" instead of "this brand publishes a lot." Here's how to actually build one. Sreyashi's Content Marketing Suite: 3 in 1 Three playbooks. One complete content marketing system. Built...

Hey friend, How’s it going? 🌻 One of the most common situations content marketers walk into: There is already an agency. No one really managed them. The founder approved things occasionally. Or worse — nobody reviewed anything. And now there are: 60+ blogs with zero conversion Random keyword targeting No distribution system No performance tracking And you, the new Content Marketer, are expected to fix it all. This is not rare. I have experienced it firsthand at least twice. And I can say for...
